Cruella

1. The animal is placed in the belief that it will have a good home. Critter Rescue SA (hereafter referred to as “CRSA”) or any representative of CRSA, reserves the right to inspect, at any future date, the new guardian’s premises and conditions under which the animal is kept. If these are not satisfactory, the animal will be reclaimed and your adoption fee will not be refunded.
2. If this animal shows signs of illness within the first week of adoption, I am entitled to return the animal to CRSA to be treated until well again, unless I decide to continue treatment myself whereby CRSA cannot be liable for any vet costs. I agree to inform CRSA of this decision and to keep her posted on the animal’s recovery.
3. All animals younger than 5 (five) months will be taken to the CRSA vet for sterilisation upon their 5 (five) month anniversary.  Should any animal become pregnant before the sterilisation, then in that event, the babies will become the property of CRSA and needs to be surrendered once no longer dependant on the mother.
4. The adopted animal will be kept in safe and secure surroundings with no access to roads or danger of any kind including driveways, areas of possible escape etc.  No dog adopted from CRSA will be chained or restrained under any circumstances.  Should we be notified of such an occurrence we will immediately reclaim the animal.
5. The animal will be taken for vet check-ups, regular de-worming and to treat the animal for any illness that may develop.
6. CRSA will be kept updated on the adopted animal until their passing and updated of any change in address or contact details.
7. I agree to contact CRSA immediately if the animal adopted is lost or missing, injured or has passed away.
8. If for any reason I can no longer take care of the animal I am adopting from CRSA, the animal must be returned to CRSA at CRSA’s convenience and cannot be re-homed by myself as ownership never passes and I understand that I will only be the guardian of the animal.
9. I will not place the adopted animal in contact with another animal of the same species without proper introductions to prevent fighting.
10. I will not neglect or abuse this adopted animal (includes using it for breeding purposes) and will look after it on a daily basis.
11. I will make sure it is known to family and friends that in my passing, this animal must be given back to CRSA, if no direct family member, living on the same property, is willing to continue looking after the animal.  This animal cannot be euthanized due to owners’ death.
12. I understand the CRSA will not rehome an animal if there are any unsterilized animals on the property unless there is a medical reason for the animal not being sterilised. CRSA reserve the right to request confirmation from a vet for such reason.
13. The adoption fee of

R 650 for a female bunny / guinea pig / chinchilla / rat / degus R 450 for a male bunny / guinea pig / rat / degus / chinchilla R 400.00 hedgehog / tenrec / lizard / snake / bearded dragon R 200.00 for hamsters R 1,200.00 for a dog / cat 

will be paid into the CRSA bank account within 12 hours from home check being approved and proof of payment emailed to crsaadoptions@gmail.com. Once same has been received, the animal will be booked for sterilisation.
